Arts & Craft Newsletter - Campbell Town Tasmania - March 2025
From the editor:
We’ve had a fun month gathering together in our Campbell Town Art & Craft Group and continuing to explore in our drawing groups. Last month we also dove a little further into clay with some quite challenging builds that everyone attempted and executed very well.
There are a couple of great workshops and events that are coming up like; Richard Klekociuk’s ‘The Truth about Coloured Pencils’, and some new clay activities. Details for all of these are below.
Both our Soft Pastel, and Pencil Drawing groups are now confirmed as ongoing for the time being – thank you to everyone who finds these helpful. All skill levels, and beginners are welcome. Both groups aim to use practice to improve our drawing skills. Details on these can be found below.
We hope you will find the courage to embrace, or even try some, or one of our activities or events not only to help them continue, but to make the most of such activities here in our town.
In all honesty, when was the last time we had exhibition openings on each month? When was the last time you could learn and play with clay? When was the last time you could attend drawing groups? And all right here in Campbell Town.
This is a private initiative by people who live in this town. We are not supported in any way by the council or grants. We believe in the power of a community and in the power of creativity for connectivity, expression, healing and personal development.
Have a marvellous month of making in March,
Lee-Anne Peters
